ASSAM: 100-Bedded Yoga & Naturopathy Hospital to come up in Dibrugarh; The first in the Northeast India.

 JANKRANTI NEWS (DIBRUGARH) : The Union Minister of Ayush and Ports, Shipping & Waterways, Sarbananda Sonowal along with the  Chief Minister of Assam, Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma laid the foundation stone of Northeast India’s first Central Research Institute of Yoga & Naturopathy with a 100 bedded hospital in Dibrugarh on Sunday.

The institution will be developed over a land of nearly 15 acres with an approximate investment of about Rs 100 crores with an aim to bring a scientifically valid and useful synergy between the traditional knowledge of Yoga and Naturopathy and the modern tools of technology.

This state-of-the-art institute will focus on the fundamental aspects and scientific validation of the traditional systems of medicine and practices through evidence-based research. 

The hospital will provide in-patient, out-patient and day-care services. The services offered by the institute are Naturopathy Diet and Nutrition, Yoga therapies, Massage & Manipulative Therapies, Acupressure, Acupuncture, Chromo-Therapy, Magneto- Therapy, Physiotherapy and Hydrotherapy treatments. 

This therapies will effectively help patients to manage Obesity, Metabolic Syndrome, Diabetes, CVD, Stroke, Asthma, COPD, Migraine, IBS, IBD, Arthritis, Autoimmune diseases, Cancer and Neurodegenerative diseases.
