ASSAM: 8th International Conference and Gathering of Elders starts from today in Dibrugarh.
JANKRANTI NEWS (DIBRUGARH) : The Shiksha Valley School in Dibrugarh hosted the 8th International Conference and Gathering of Elders from today. This conference is organized by the International Centre for Cultural Studies which is a prestigious gathering that brings spiritual leaders together and elders from various ancient traditions and cultures all over the world.
The International Centre for Cultural Studies (ICCS) aims to foster cultural exchange and sustainable prosperity through this event. The ICCS has its headquarters in the USA.
The conference has been inaugurated today in the presence of the RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat as a distinguished guest. The Chief Minister of Assam, Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma also graced the opening ceremony.
Approximately 300 participants from over 33 nations attended the event which highlighted the cultural diversity and unity represented by North East India.
The conference will held from January 28 to February 1, 2024, and will mark a grand finale by a field tour to RIWATCH, where attendees will interact with the local spiritual leaders.
This conference will not only serve as a platform for sharing ancient indigenous wisdom but also aims at collaborative efforts towards the global prosperity and highlights the importance of spiritual and cultural heritage in our contemporary society through various paper presentations, panel discussions, workshops, and cultural nights focusing on the ecological wisdom, collaborative governance and the revival of traditions.
