New delhi, December 25, Jankranti News,: —– Covid cases are gradually increasing in India.  Recently, the number of active cases in the country crossed the 4 thousand mark.  According to the details disclosed by the Union Ministry of Health, 312 new cases were discovered in a period of 24 hours from 8 am on Sunday to 8 am on Monday.  With this, the number of active cases in the country has increased from 3,742 to 4,054.

 Kerala has the highest number of fresh cases with 128 cases.  One death was recorded yesterday.  This brings the total number of deaths due to covid to 5,33,33.  315 people recovered from covid in 24 hours.  With this, the total number of recoveries has reached 4.44 crores (4,44,71,860).

 The Central Health Department revealed that the number of active cases is only 0.01 percent of the total cases.  Similarly, the recovery rate was 98.81 percent and the death rate was 1.18 percent.  It has been revealed that 220.67 crore (220,67,79,081) Corona vaccine doses have been distributed so far

 Meanwhile, 5 new corona variant JN.1 cases have been reported in Maharashtra’s Thane.  Officials revealed that five JN.1 variant cases were reported in Thane city out of 20 samples tested from November 30 till date, taking the number of active cases in the city to 28. Two of them are undergoing treatment in hospitals and the rest of them are recovering at their homes, officials said.  Currently, it seems that the new variant (New Covid Variant) JN.1  is the reason for the increase in corona cases in the country.
