India beat Pakistan by 7 wickets in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup match

Cape Town, February 13, Jankranti News: Team India won by 7 wickets in the match between Team India and Pakistan (IND vs PAK) as part of ICC Womens T20 World Cup 2023 at Cape Town. Defeated Pakistan (PAK) by seven wickets.  After winning the toss and choosing to bat, the Pakistan team scored 149 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.  Coming into the ring with a target of 150 runs, Team India lost only 3 wickets and scored 151 runs in 19 overs and finished the target with one over to spare.  In team India’s batting, Jemimah Rodrigues scored 53 runs and scored a half century, Shafali Verma scored 33 runs and Richa Ghosh played a key role in team India’s victory with 31 runs.  At the score of 38 runs, Team India lost the wicket of Yastika Bhatia.  She was dismissed at a personal score of 17 runs.  The second wicket fell when Shafali Verma was caught on 65 runs.
At 93 runs, Harmanpreet Kaur scored a personal score of 16 runs and was caught and reached the pavilion.  Team India has lost three wickets.  Rodrigues and Richa Ghosh performed consistently and provided a partnership of 84 runs and remained unbeaten and brought Team India to victory.  Among the Pakistani bowlers, Nashra Sandhu excelled with 2 wickets while Sadia Iqbal got one wicket.  As far as Pakistan’s batting is concerned, Maroof scored 68 runs with 7 fours in 55 balls and played aggressively.  Ayesha Naseem remained unbeaten with 43 runs in 25 balls with 2 sixes and 2 fours.
Among the bowlers of Team India, Radha Yadav excelled with 2 wickets, while Pooja Vastrakar and Deepti Sharma took one wicket each.  It reached the final in the last World Cup but settled for runner-up.  But this time the Indian team led by Harmanpreet Kaur is determined to win the Mega Cup.  Against this backdrop, they not only beat Pakistan in their Group-B opening match of the T20 World Cup on Sunday, but started the hunt with a win.  Harman Sena’s strength in all departments compared to the opponent helped Team India.
 And to face the Aussies in the tournament, the team has to show its strength in all departments.  Before the first match, Team India was dealt a hard blow.  Vice-captain Smriti Mandhana missed the match against Pakistan with a finger injury.  But coach Kanitkar revealed on Saturday that the finger was not fractured.  The fact that Smriti will be available from Darimila’s second match has brought relief to the team.  Indian women’s cricket team will face West Indies in their next match on February 15.
