Sriharikota,Andhra Pradesh, February 18, Jankranti News,: ——- Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) launched the INSAT 3DS mission successfully. ISRO successfully launched Insat DS satellite into orbit by GSLV-F14. The GSLV-F14 rocket blasted off from launch pad number two at SHAR center in Sriharikota at 5.35 pm on Saturday. The countdown for the launch started from 2.05 pm on Friday and the countdown continued for 27.30 hours.
This INSAT-3DS satellite will periodically monitor the weather, study the land and sea surface atmosphere and provide better information for research purposes of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). This satellite will serve ISRO for ten years. Speaking on this occasion, ISRO Chairman Somnath announced that the experiment was successful. ISRO Chairman Somnath congratulated the team of scientists.
ISRO Chairman Somnath disclosed that GLLV-F14 successfully launched INSAT-3DS satellite into orbit as planned. I am happy to say that the INSAT-3DS experiment has been successful. He said that the rocket entered the orbit as per the scheduled time. I congratulate all the scientists and other personnel involved in this INSAT-3DS mission, said ISRO Chairman Somnath.
