The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has released Notification No. 09/2025 for the Combined Technical Services Examination (CTSE) – Non-Interview Posts. The recruitment drive is set to fill 615 vacancies in various technical departments of the Tamil Nadu Government.

Eligibility Criteria – TNPSC CTSE 2025
Educational Qualification
- Qualification must be SSLC + HSC/Diploma + UG/PG Degree as applicable.
- Example:
- Assistant Engineer (Civil): B.E./B.Tech in Civil or AMIE.
- Junior Planner: Degree in Town & Country Planning / Architecture / Civil Engg.
- Librarian Grade II: B.L.I.S. (Bachelor of Library and Information Science)
- System Manager: B.E/B.Tech in CSE/IT/ECE or MCA/M.Sc. (CS/IT)
Age Limit (as on 01.07.2025):
- Minimum: 21 years (30 years for Executive Officer, Grade I)
- Maximum for ‘Others’ Category: Generally 32 years
- For Reserved Categories: No maximum age limit (up to 60 years in some cases)
- Refer to notification for post-specific relaxations and age exemptions.
Other Requirements:
- Adequate knowledge of Tamil is mandatory.
- Hindu religion mandatory for a few specific posts.
- Benchmark Disability candidates are ineligible for some posts (listed in notification).
Salary Details – TNPSC CTSE 2025
The salary structure varies depending on the post and pay level:
- Level 8 to Level 20
- Includes EPF, CPS, PFTR, GSTR benefits
- Example:
- Level 8: Librarian Grade II
- Level 10-13: Junior Engineers, Community Officers
- Level 20: Executive Officer, Asst. Director (Industrial Safety & Health)

Selection Process
The TNPSC CTSE 2025 selection will be based entirely on a Written Exam:
Paper I – Objective (OMR Based)
- Part A: Tamil Eligibility Test (SSLC Std) – 100 Qs – 150 Marks (Qualifying: 60 Marks)
- Part B: General Studies (Degree Std) – 75 Qs
- Part C: Aptitude & Mental Ability – 25 Qs
- Total Duration: 3 Hours
Paper II – Subject Paper (Degree/PG Standard)
- 200 Questions – 300 Marks – 3 Hours
- For Translator/ASO: Descriptive Paper
✅ Merit list will be prepared based on Paper I (B & C) + Paper II only if Tamil Test is qualified.

Filling Application

- Upload photo (taken after 21.05.2025) and signature
- Choose subjects carefully
- Select two preferred exam centers
Fee Structure
- Exam Fee: Rs. 100/-
- Additional Paper: Rs. 100/- per paper
- Exemptions: SC/ST, PwBD, Destitute Widows – Full; BCs/MBCs – 3 Free Chances; Ex-Servicemen – 2 Free Chances
