Jankranti News (Assam) : As the preparation is underway of Chandrayaan-3 for lunar landing, schools and educational institutions in Assam have been directed to remain open until 6 pm on August 23 to organize the LIVE streaming within the Institution premises. This order was given by Axom Sarba Siksha Abhiyan Mission on Tuesday.
The order given by the Axom Sarba Siksha Abhiyan Mission in its letter states that India’s pursuit of space exploration which reaches a remarkable milestone with the impending Chandrayaan-3 Mission is poised to achieve a soft landing on the lunar surface on August 23, 2023. All schools and educational institutions across the state are requested to open the school until 6 PM and organize the LIVE streaming of the Chandrayaan-3 soft landing within the premises.
Meanwhile, the Directorate of Secondary Education, Assam also issued an order to all Inspector of Schools to instruct all schools and educational institutions to witness the live telecasting of Chandrayan-3 landing from 5:15 PM to 6:15 PM in the official website of ISRO, ISRO’S Official YouTube Channel and DD National TV Channel.”
Mr Om Prakash, IAS, Mission Director of Samagra Siksha, Assam expressed the significance of this event in terms of inspiring the youth and promoting scientific inquiry and said that the telecast is expected to leave an indelible mark on the minds of the students and educator, encouraging a greater interest in space exploration and research.
