Hatay,Hatay, February 12, Jankranti News,: —- Under Operation Dost, India sent search and rescue teams, mainly from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), a field hospital, materials, medicines and equipment to Turkey and Syria to rescue earthquake victims.

 Earthquake victims in Turkey thanked the Indian Army for standing by them during the crisis. The Indian Army has set up a hospital in Turkey’s Hatay region to help the injured. It was set up in just six hours. A total of 96 Indian Army personnel are serving 24 hours a day in that hospital.

 Commanding Officer of the hospital Lieutenant Colonel Yaduveer Singh said that 800 victims have been treated so far. 10 major surgeries were performed. They said that they are always ready to provide treatment to the victims. However.. the locals are showering praises on the army personnel who are supporting them in this time of crisis. “Thank you Hindustan. Thank you very much for being with us,” said the victims who were treated at the hospital. Recently, a photo of a Turkey local lady kissing an Indian Army officer who is helping the locals has gone viral.
