JANKRANTI NEWS (ASSAM) : The Civil Services Exam which is conducted annually in three phase manner i.e prelims, mains and interview by the UPSC, aims to select officers for prestigious roles for the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and various others post.
This year the UPSC results were declared yesterday on April 16th. A total number of 1,016 candidates cleared the UPSC examination and they are been recommended for different central government services.
Among the UPSC cleared candidates, seven candidates from Assam has secured ranks in the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2023.
The seven rank holders from Assam are as follows:
- Abhijan Hazarika – 172th Rank
- Ricky Lohkar Pradhan – 230th Rank
- Ishwari Deka – 320th Rank
- Rituraj Sarma – 462th Rank
- Bhaswata Saikia – 552th Rank
- Kallul Hazarika – 992th Rank
- Azmal Hussain – 1013th Rank
This year’s recruitment drive of the UPSC is aimed at filling 1,105 positions across the various government departments.
