Aligarh/New Delhi, April 23, Jankranti News, : Vice Chancellor (VC) of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Professor Naima Khatoon Gulrez appointed. She is the first woman to hold this position in the 100-year history of the varsity. President Draupadi Murmu approved her appointment.
Sources of the university said that as the Election Code is in force, the permission of the Election Commission has also been taken. She received her PhD in Psychology from AMU and will continue as the varsity VC for 5 years. The Muhammadan Anglo-Oriental College, established in 1875, became the Aligarh Muslim University in 1920.
